Visiting Sark – 4 reasons why families will love this tiny island
1. The Pace of Life in Sark is wonderfully sedate
2. Sark is full of outdoor adventures
Sark is a perfect adventure for active families.
For one it’s exciting to even get to Sark. Kids will love the Bon Marin de Sark, the toy like ferry that put puts over to the island from Guernsey.
With its outstanding natural beauty, Sark is a haven for wildlife – a unique place to get outside and revel in nature. Visiting Sark is a must for nature lovers or those who love to get away from it all.

Getting to Sark is an adventure in itself!
3. Cycling in Sark
Cycling in Sark is like breathing. You do it every day from necessity.
Sark is a brilliant place for families to cycle because it’s ridiculously safe – there’s simply no traffic.
Plus cycling is the perfect speed to take in the sights but actually put away the miles.
4. No tech means family bonding
Armed with sketchpads, packs of cards and wetsuits we’d made a rule to forgo technical devices for our 4-night stay in Sark.
With a constant battle against devices versus family time Sark is the perfect place to banish technology for just a few days and get back to the basics of family bonding.

Thanks Zena I’m so pleased you liked the review. Yes, now you have little Ocean you will see the island in an entirely different light, although we did not see any Jersey folk drunk when we were there! 🙂
We first had a holiday in Sark in 1965 and went back each year for 43 years. A paradise for everyone not just families . Once visited it gets into the blood and you will forever want to return. Not well enough to do all the adventures but have returned and hired the island mobility scooter which was a great new experience. Love you blog and love all the pictures, captured Sark really well. Thank you
Wow Julie I wish I’d been lucky enough to visit back in 1965. I wonder how much it has changed? It certainly gets into the blood – I can’t stop telling everybody how wonderful it was. Thanks for your lovely comments – I’m so pleased you like our blog
